Elizabeth is a dedicated and well organized young professional living in Economy Borough, and is looking forward to the honor to serve on the Borough Council.

Elizabeth has dedicated most of her free time to local politics and different organizations. She has served as a member for the Recreation Board as Secretary in 2018 and 2019 and was the Vice President in 2020. She has been an active member of the Zoning Hearing board, and has never missed a meeting since she was appointed as an alternate.

While on the Economy Borough Zoning Hearing Board, Elizabeth has voted in favor of small businesses being established in the borough, showing her commitment to local small businesses, and a willingness to live by the values that she espouses.

Elizabeth has also served faithfully in the following organizations:

Beaver County Young Democrats

(2018 VP)

South West PA National Organization for Women (NOW)

(2018 and 2019 Action Chair)

(2020 to present President)

American Association of University Women (AAUW)

(2021 Secretary)

Beaver County Democratic Committee

(serving on multiple subcommittees as well)

Economy Borough Democratic Committee

(2018 to present Town Chair)

Elizabeth has been lucky enough to still be working full time in addition to all of her additional extra-vocational activities. Her position as an Administrative Assistant has been playfully referred to as “Controller of Chaos” due to the number of different responsibilities, groups, and projects that she keeps on track.

Previously, Elizabeth has had experience in organizing and managing events first as a Registrar at an English Second Language School, and then as a Test Day Supervisor for an English Language Testing Service. She has always taken challenges head on, and was able to communicate effectively, even with a language or cultural barrier in the way.

Elizabeth earned her Gold Award as a Girl Scout when she was in High School, and graduated in the Top 10, as well as in the top 10%, of her class.

Elizabeth earned a B.A. in International Relations from Duquesne University in 2014. In addition to her degree she also earned certifications from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as well as competed in Master’s Degree Level War Games as an undergraduate student.

Elizabeth lives with her husband of 3 years, Mr. Ian Hunt, and their two cats, Gilly and Finn, in their quiet little house on a quiet little street in Economy’s 5th precinct. And Elizabeth would not have it any other way.
